Why a Mediterranean Diet is Good For You

400px-Mediterranean-Diet-PyramidApart from exercise, not eating large amounts of fat and salt, scientists confirm what our gut instincts and many doctors have been telling us for many many years; that’s to eat a ‘mediterranean diet’. They say we need to eat fruit, walnuts, almonds, olive oil, tomoates and brocollii amoungst other med foods to cut your chance of heart attack by 30%.

Whilst our spiritual health is more important to our physical health, we can’t do much physically for other or ourselves if we are feeling unhealthy. It must also affect our emotional state as this is essentially part of our physiology – ie ‘physical’.

All seems common sense but probably not many of us are doing it – myself included – prefering to rush fast foods and the like. Look after yourselves – God has given us all we need to be and stay healthy. Perhaps it would become easier to look after our bodies if we remember that our body is a temple for the Holy Spirit. Probably many of our ills would clear up if we remember that! God bless you:)
