You Don’t Beat Up The Bride Before You Marry Her

Ahem.. Bible believing – God and Jesus Christ loving Christians – i.e people all over the world who constitute Christ’s bride are being slaughtered and beheaded AS WE SPEAK and not only that, they have been beaten up to all kinds of degrees – some almost unthinkable all throughout history. So something about this argument doesn’t sit right.

Not only that… God allows innocent people to suffer right NOW – horrendously at the hands of Satans’ cohorts and not only that – Jesus PROMISED all that would live godly in Christ would suffer persecution. Persecution IS a form of tribulation and whilst it may not be THE tribulation – the argument; God will not allow this kind of suffering here, or that kind of suffering there, or at that time or this time in history is a not good enough argument since he clearly does allow all those things to happen to saints, if nothing else to prove to the whole world that Satan’s governance is very evil.

How did we get our Bible? My people being burnt alive at the stake. These people and others at different times in history had a totally different view and thought they were in THE tribulation and it’s not hard to see why.

We really have to engage all of our brains here and not think with our emotions. Having said that – it may be we are whisked off pre-trib or mid or whenever – but the ‘not beating up the bride’ argument falls down before it starts as the bride had been beaten up – Just as Jesus Christ himself was – our role model – all throughout history.

The real problem here is that people are scared of suffering and you know what – I am too! But i will not let this colour my thoughts or try and shoe-horn my emotionally based ideas into the Bible.

“And I saw those that were beheaded for the sake of Christ” – and these people will receive a crown of life! It’s not a wedding necessarily (or perhaps it is part of the wedding) but after their great suffering it will be a party when they receive their great rewards I can assure you.

Take heart – as God promises to wipe away every tear. It is this that we cannot get our heads round – but it’s no problem for God. If our half witt scientists are finding ways to wipe our memories well.. there are probably 10.000 ways God our creator can achieve this – hallelujah praise our mighty father in heaven!
