In the last days, The Bible says that the Devil – via his agents, will make war on the saints.
“And the beast made war against the seed”
…ahem… let me correct that;
“And the best made war against the REMNANT of her seed, and those that KEEP the commandments of God”
So let’s look at this sentence.
Who is ‘her’?
Her in The Bible always refers to The Church – i.e the body of people that love God and trust and believe in the works that Jesus did for us on the cross.
Who is The Seed?
This refers to the seed of Abraham – again – all those that love God and His son Jesus.
So then, Who are the ‘Remnant’ that The Devil Makes War Against?
Oh that’s easy – Christian! Not so quick – what does the text say? It does not say; we are saved by keeping the commands of God (we are saved by faith), but it does say without question, that Satan specifically makes war on those saints that KEEP THE COMMANDS OD GOD!
So why then, would the Devil not be concerned about those saints that don’t keep the commandments of God? Answer: because they are no threat to his kingdom and ineffectual at thwarting his efforts to damn souls to hell.
In Conclusion…
So, next time someone says to you we Christians are under grace (which we are) do not need to keep the commandments of God – tell them to read their Bible! The Devil clearly thinks we ought not to be also.
