What’s your net worth? $10,000, $20,000,000? Or perhaps you are in debt and feel you are have a negative monetary worth or even feel a total failure! But what is your real value?.. your real net-worth? Well actually, materially you are worth about $2 – that’s the chemical value stored in your body when all is said and done. But how much are you really worth?
The answer to that is; how much was God willing to pay for you? And we all know He was willing to pay will His own blood, His own human, fleshly born beloved son – and that is of infinite value.
Christians must not get bogged down in big-case-itis
So if you have low self esteem – forget everything you know about your ‘self-worth’ and without becoming conceited understand you and your fellow unbelieving fellows are infinitely valuable! And while I think of it, Jesus Christ – the most influential person who ever walked the earth, was not a banker or a businessman, or a software giant, he chose to enter humanity when science was of little importance compared to today, and chose to work with his hands, and was a carpenter. What carpenter ever made a name for him self?
Now with this in mind we must ask God how we can serve Him (by serving which people) as a return gesture for what He has done for us.
