So The Light Can Displace The Light?
It is not a case that the light can, or will sometimes enlighten, or that there is a chance that light may improve things in the earth and the lot of men. The fact is the light always pushes darkness away and displaces it. Of course the minute you turn the light out, the void and emptiness of darkness instantly returns letting us know that as long as there is darkness we must continually work to shine light in dark places.
We only have to look at the dark ages and see how the light of The Bible, having made a way for the common man to access and read it permeated the lands and slowly pushed out the darkness and tyranny of the religious rulers and secular rulers of the day.
And What is That Light?
The light is the glorious gospel of Christ – who is the image of God! So just as God commanded the light to shine in the darkness, so he also shone the light and glory of God in men’s hearts to displace the darkness therein and proclaim this light to other men.
