Social Justice

Haves and Have-nots

Have you ever noticed how all the politicians that advocate taking from the haves, and giving to the have-nots are all haves, and have no intention of being anything else? It’s always been that way. And did you realise that if you are a leader of a country, especially if you are not a believer in God, and your people are also not believers in God – then socialism is the ONLY way you have any hope of helping those that are less well off. Why?.. because whilst there are always exceptions and people that do give of their time and money, most people left to their own devices, especially those who are struggling themselves, will not have or take time to be generous to the poor, and this duty will need to be taken over by the state.

As it happens, this of course is a governments’ dream – that the people would even let them do this, as it makes the less well off people – the largest majority of voters dependent on the sate and in their hands – and that’s how the Devil wants every soul – dependent on someone, some bank, some person, some political leader – but not God, who commands us all to give of our money ourselves and tells us in The Bible that those that won’t work – won’t eat.

Of course we need to give to the poor but…

The problem is, it was never an outsider’s job to come in and arbitrate, and take money from someone that has worked hard – or is simply blessed financially and give it to those who are not so blessed – it is those people themselves, us – who are instructed in The Bible to look after our neighbours, the poor and down trodden – us – not any government. Some people call this talking by force what one person actually owns and giving it to another theft. Did you know that taxing individuals in America is actually illegal according to The US Constitution and for good reason – it was written by men that at least understood God’s prescribed ways in The Bible, even if they didn’t all believe in God whole-heartedly as you or I might – though many did.

Jesus was not a socialist contrary to popular belief

Many people think that Jesus was a socialist – because he concentrated a lot of his teaching on looking after the poor. It certainly seems that way on the surface at least and in The Bible generally. Well that’s all fine and dandy and Jesus and The Bible was right about caring for the poor – but he didn’t say the state should do this… The Bible says YOU and I should take our own money and give to the poor – or at least give it to the church who should then look after the poor locally – to be more specific – your neighbours – yes those people next door that few of us ever speak to let alone know their names like we did in the old days where people mattered (though many churches these days seem to pocket this cash for bigger TV screens and pastors’ salaries). The fact is, it is you and I that need to tithe and give our money, and often more precious to us – our time to look after our neighbours and the poor!

Socialism relieves me of my duty to give to the poor myself

Of course – the government doing the job that we as individuals should be doing is often why socialism is so attractive – because it means you and I don’t have to look after the poor as someone else – the government will do it for us and relieve us of our our guilt. And this article has nothing to do with trying to ‘push’ capitalism – it’s simply about stating that socialism is bad and ungodly – in my humble opinion even though from a distance socialism and Jesus look VERY similar indeed – but remembering that only a tiny drop of arsenic is needed to make what looks like a healthy glass of apple juice deadly.

The Bible says the end-time government of the Anti-Christ will be socialist

The end-time government will (for 3.5 years at least) be a merging of church and state (Jesus clearly separated the two) and one of total monetary control with no financial freedom whatsoever – with no buying and selling at all without first giving an allegiance to this single-world socialistic entity. It sounds great as an idea and on paper to make all fair and get rid of the bad guys and their bad money transactions – but it’s crystal clear when we look at what God did to early Babylon, that He prefers free individuals, free trade, free countries with all the limitations and checks and balances that this cannot fail to bring, and that any system ruled by one governing entity or person (as absolute power always corrupts without fail) entity cannot fail not to bring.

In order to help someone – you must have something they haven’t got!

Of course there should be a safety net for those that cannot help themselves and have no families etc. But giving out free cash to people in a form that can be used to buy SkyTV, drink or drugs?.. give me a break – this is so obviously dumb it must be done by design! Clearly only food stamps should be given to anyone that cannot afford to buy food. In any case, you cannot give something to someone that is of any value if you haven’t got it to give – this is the essence of charity – giving what YOU have that is valuable to you, to someone that has not be it time or money. This charity is the love of God and the Love of Christ.

Fix the root of the problem – not the band-aid of socialism

We must attack the things that cause people to be poor – lack or personal individual charity, laziness, greediness on all our parts (people that start business are not always greedy or obsessed with money – take my company – Fusion101.com – started purely to help Christian singles that makes a modest profit and employs a few people) and socialism itself – an ideology that for those trapped by its’ sticky tentacles often means remaining dependent on the state is better for them financially that being self-supporting and truly free!

You cannot be charitable without owning something someone else has not got

The irony is, that in order to be charitable (the greatest command) – you HAVE to have something someone else has not got! Forcibly making everything ‘equal’ (which is impossible anyway) leaves no room for charity. Light can only be seen in the dark.
