We are often told that Christianity was a branch our of Judaism. But the truth is the opposite. Christianity (the teaching of Jesus and his disciples) was the true continuation of religion of the Old Testament and Judaism and all it’s many man-made added laws and traditions, branched out of the original Old Testament faith as a false representation of God.
Also , we are often told by Evangelicals (and repeat like parrots) that Christianity is not a religion, yet the Bible itself tells us different – that the our faith in fact IS a religion. However it ads a very important caveat to the word ‘religion’, and that is, that the religion we see in the Bible is the PURE religion – ie unadulterated with man-made doctrines – or “doctrines of men”, rules and regulations and ideas that are added later by men with their own agendas not led and taught by the Spirit of God that the Bible so often warns us about.
